Kaveh Mahjoob - VP of Research & Development, SyncVoice Communications
Kaveh Mahjoob is currently the CEO of BIR Solutions a Business Intelligence consulting company focused on developing information systems in the area of financial services and telecom. Prior to founding BIR Solutions, Kaveh served as vice president of engineering for Communicado, an early stage technology start-up.
Prior to Communicado Kaveh was vice president of R&D for the CapitalStream Software Corporation (formerly WiredCapital) where he established the SDLC process, R&D infrastructure and support organization while growing the company.
Previous to that role, Kaveh served as the vice president of products for Q Strategies and the vice president of products and support for FRx Software Corporation (now a Microsoft Division). Kaveh also served as director of R&D at the Platinum Software Corporation (now Epicor Software), where he was instrumental in the development of their roadmap and extensive product line.
Kevin Schaff - Founder and CEO, Thought Equity Motion
As CEO of Thought Equity Motion, Kevin leads the company's corporate strategy, drives product direction and positioning, raises funds, and generates awareness for Thought Equity Motion among industry analysts and potential partners. Kevin is a well-regarded entrepreneur who has successfully founded, financed, operated and sold companies from the beginning of his career. Prior to founding Thought Equity Motion, Kevin founded UPDATE Systems, Inc., an Internet e-communication company focused on delivering e-mail marketing and promotion software to aggregators of small business. In 1999, Kevin successfully negotiated the sale of UPDATE Systems to Webb Interactive Services (Nasdaq: WEBB), a leading provider of infrastructure services for local Internet commerce.
Kevin was also the President of Wind River Communications Inc., a nationally competitive design and Internet development firm formed in 1993. Under his direction, Wind River experienced growth of more than 100% each year for five consecutive years and served clients such as USWEST, Motorola, Coopers & Lybrand, and Macy's. In 1999, Kevin successfully negotiated the sale of Wind River.
Chris Scherpenseel - Consultant
Chris has more than 20 years of senior management experience in software development, information technologies and network integration industries. For the past four years he has consultant to the executive teams of several technology start-ups in a strategic capacity.
Prior to his time as an independent consultant Chris was president of FRx Software Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, for eight years.
He previously held senior management positions at FRx, including chief operating officer and vice president of customer services.
Before joining FRx Software, he was Vice President of Client Services at Customer Insight Company (CIC), a database marketing software development company.
